Working to make Portland, Oregon a platinum-level bicycle friendly city
The Bicycle
Transportation Alliance, a nonprofit
dedicated to opening minds and roads to bicycling, is leading a campaign to
improve Portland from a gold-rated city to a platinum-rated city. These ratings
are awarded by the League of American Bicyclists, a national advocacy group.
Portland City Commissioner Sam Adams is chairing the effort,
and many organizations, community members, and public agencies are working
together to make it happen.
The campaign includes improving bike facilities, increased
education and enforcement efforts, and a host of fun bike activities
throughout the year.
Making Portland platinum will require Portlanders to
do their part. Sign up for e-mail updates and we’ll
notify you about opportunities to volunteer. Email us at platinum@bta4bikes.org and we'll add you to the list.
You can also become
a member of the BTA and/or consider making a donation to assist
our work on the campaign.
As the campaign progresses, we will include more resources
on this site, so please check back often!
